Each week, you’ll get new materials that build on the last, covering the basics and practical uses of Generative AI in education. Office hours are meant for actual toolset demos and walking through questions and clarifications.

The asynchronous material was well-organized and allowed me to learn at my own pace.

Asynchronous sessions: Weekly video content that will be released by EOD Monday afternoon, every week. They can be viewed at your convenience anytime.
Synchronous sessions: Weekly 1 hour of office hours is live and will happen on every Thursday between 5-6pm SGT.

However, playing with these GenAI tools will give you greater familiarity in terms of the kind of text the engine generates, and you can develop the ability to spot direct replication from a GenAI response.

We encourage all participants to enroll by Feb 20th, 2025, so that you can start receiving all the asynchronous video modules and try some of the activities out to come for the first synchronous (live) office hours on Feb 27th, 2025.
However, we will keep enrollments open till March 20th 2025. If you enroll after the course starts, you will still receive access to the asynchronous modules and recording of the live lessons. You will miss out on the community discussion during the live office hours.

We understand that the term teacher can mean a whole spectrum of people. The course is aimed towards people who teach or facilitate classrooms ranging from kindergarten to university, to graduate schools to corporate trainers. All are welcome!

We approximate around 2 -2.5 hours of commitment per week.

Yes!
This is a beginner friendly program aimed to get you all started from scratch. You will need a GMail ID and have to sign-up to Google Gemini (Google’s GenAI) for doing the activities for class.
Since the field of GenAI is rapidly evolving, signing up for GenAI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude is also encouraged so that you can compare which one works better for your specific use case.
